📍 Breaking New Grounds in Tunisia: Strategic Development and Sexual Rights Advocacy

The Centre for Transnational Development and Collaboration (CTDC), in partnership with Mawjoudin, recently concluded a series of successful workshops in Tunisia focused on organisational development, strategic planning, and gender and sexuality advocacy.

These sessions provided an inclusive and reflective space for activists from diverse backgrounds to:
✅ Engage in dialogue
✅ Strengthen their skills
✅ Deepen their strategic thinking

Through this initiative, CTDC aimed to:
• Support long-term, sustainable strategic planning
• Rethink frameworks for sexual rights advocacy
• Strengthen collaboration in complex social and political contexts
• Encourage sensitive, appropriate language when addressing sexual and gender diversity

💬 Participant Engagement and Reflections
The workshops were met with high levels of participation and enthusiasm. Attendees noted the practical value of the sessions and the collaborative environment fostered by the facilitators.
“This training course has exceeded my expectations in terms of strategic thinking and planning.”
— Workshop Participant
“The trainers were very friendly and capable. They were equipped with the skills to deliver the training in a coherent manner.”
— Workshop Participant
The learning was reciprocal—CTDC trainers gained important insight into the local context, making the space one of mutual growth, respect, and solidarity.

🔭 Looking Ahead: Continued Support and Collaboration
CTDC is grateful to all who contributed to creating a safe and collaborative space. We remain committed to ongoing mentorship and strategic support for participating activists in the months ahead.
This work aligns closely with CTDC’s wider goals to:
• Promote democratic and non-discriminatory organising
• Strengthen grassroots coalitions across Tunisia
• Foster the sustainable development of local activist initiatives

We are proud of this milestone and look forward to deepening our collaboration with Tunisian partners. Together, we aim to bring meaningful, lasting change to marginalised communities across the region.
